Spring 2001
This is how Charger looked like when I bough it. To my opinion
it needed some interior fixes, and on test drive I noticed that transmission
wasn't working properly, and engine showed some wear and tear. Well, no pain, no
gain. It's time to rescue this baby...

Just got it out from winter rest

It was still snowing in Finland.
Fortunately roads were dry.

Front seats were already made with white
leather. I checked the fender tag and noticed the code 'C6W' which is
code for white interior with black floor carpet.

still in garage without front seats. The factory console is original
equipment. Floor carpet color is somewhat 'ugly'

I'll definitely need new steering
wheel...and original clock / tachometer is missing.

Engine compartment is oily and painted
with at least 5 different colors. That will change...

Old carpet is out, won't miss it though

Found some rusty spots from floor pan. Removed those
before painting it

I added some sound deafners to floor. Not original,
but makes interior pleasantly quiet when driving.

Door panels are painted with vinyl paint. Someday I
might buy new ones. For now, I think it looks great.

Made new floor carpet from stock carpet. Again, not
original but will do for now.
|
Back seat is also painted with vinyl paint. Ok enough?
